THE JOHN 3:16 Church

“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

The Apostle’s Doctrine is a compilation of the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to address every action and activity of the believer;church and the leadership of the church.

 

What We Believe 

We believe that the scriptures are the inerrant (free from error) word of God both Old and New Testament

2 Timothy 3:16 

We believe in the resurrection of the dead! The death of our Lord and Savior on Calvarys cross! He was crucified for the sins of all human beings. It was His blood that flowed from His veins that Redeemed (saved) us. He died and was laid in Joseph of Arithmathea new tomb; but we believe He rose on the 3rd day! Which we celebrate better known as “Easter” but we say Apostolically Resurrection Day! Matthew 20?

We believe that there is but one way to Heaven...John 3:16 John 14:6 

Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."

Ephesians 4:5-6 

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

We believe in confession of faith in Christ Jesus brings forth Eternal Salvation -Romans 10:8-10, Ephesians 2:8-10

 

We believe in dual baptism, baptism of water and baptism of the Holy Ghost Acts 1:5 

 

We Baptize in The Name Of Jesus...

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

We believe the one underlying evidence of when one is filled with the Holy Ghost there is a speaking in new tongues and prophecy-Acts 19:1-7 

Also Acts 1:8 implies that we will become witnesses of Christ Jesus our Lord.

We believe in carrying out the great commission of the church to go and make disciples of men to go and preach the gospel throughout the world, teaching them and baptizing them in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord

We believe in laying on of hands and the sick shall recover-Mark 16:18b

 

We believe in anointing with oil while praying over the sick-James 5:14

 

We believe in casting out demonic foul and unclean spirits-Mark 16:17

 

We believe in exercising the second ordinance of the church which is holy communion-Mark 14:22-25 

 

We believe in the Fivefold infrastructure in the Body of Christ (Church) which consist of:

Ephesians 4:11-16

Apostles - Governs the Church Prophets - Guides the Church Evangelist - Gathers the Church, Pastors - Guard the Church 

Teachers - Ground the Church 

 

We believe that the set council of the John 3:16 church judges all (within) disputes all behavior, lawlessness, etc...

We believe that Love is the ultimate key to bringing souls into the body of Christ-I Corinthians 13:1-13 

 

We believe that there is a need to keep the doors of the John 3:16 open until the last soul is saved (we will rarely cancel any meetings because of weather, sickness, death, simply because we are subject to miss out on one soul and that will become an indictment to our church! 

 

We believe that the Church should be available 24/7 365 days a year to meet the needs of the soul’s of humanity. 

 

We further believe that Christ ascended into the Heavens after rising from the dead and one day will return for the Church without spot or blemish; this is known as the rapture the second coming of Christ when he will descend and stop in midair and the last trump of God will be sounded and the dead in Christ shall rise first and we that remain alive shall be caught up secondly and we shall forever be with the Lord and all of this shall be done as fast as we can blink our eyes and we shall be taken up in the Heavens and shall be with the Lord 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 

 

We mostly use King James Version, New International Version, and at times but very rarely the New Living Translation, the Message, English Standard Version And New King James Version 

 

We encourage the membership to bring a tangible bible; leatherback, paperback, in book form, but however in the age of technology we encourage the membership to bring electronic devices phone tablets phones notebooks to access scriptures at any given time 

 

We believe in Tithes and offerings and Special Given Contributions as the basic financial support of the Church Malachi 3:8-12
